What can you expect from our classes?

This class is a group fitness style workout. We work with soft kickboxing bags and judo mat flooring, to create a cardio and strength workout with martial arts elements.

This is not a traditional kickboxing or boxing workout. We only hit the bags - not other participants!

What class options are available?

You can workout with us all year long! Each year, we offer three 12 week sessions: January to March, April to June, September to December. Our registration dates open first to our current members, then open up to the public. Next session registration information can be found on our ‘Register’ page.

What can I expect from these classes?

Kickboxing is so much fun and it’s such a great cardiovascular workout. It’s that simple. Our goal is to connect with each participant and create a fun challenging workout for all fitness levels. This makes it possible for each participant to work at their own fitness level without feeling incompetent or left behind. All of our classes are full-body workouts and taught by energetic and motivating instructors. I can attest that each class is a new experience and we’d love for you to join us!

Do I have to be an experienced kickboxer to do these classes?

No! All our class sessions begin with a full week of introduction to the bag with a focus on form. The class is great for endurance, strength and speed - but you do not have to be an expert! We focus on proper form throughout the entire class. It’s a complete body workout so all of your muscles are worked. As you get comfortable with the combinations, you’ll develop speed and I promise you’ll be hooked.

Do you use a kickboxing bag?

This is a fitness class that simulates fun martial arts style fitness combinations on the bag. Yes! We hit the bag, not each other! We use a free standing Wave Master Training Bags that are mounted on a base and the height is adjustable, designed for fitness style kickboxing workouts.
